Podiatry

Brian Maddock

Grew up in Seaford and played football and cricket for local teams. He has a Bachelor of applied Science in Human Movement with honours, and has worked at Port Power as a Sports Science Consultant until having qualified with a Bachelor of Podiatry.

Worked at Flinders Medical Centre as a Senior Podiatrist in their High risk foot clinic.

Worked at the Noarlunga Health Service in the High risk and Paediatric podiatry service.

Have spent last year on Kangaroo Island in private practice and initiating their community health service.

Currently working in Victor Harbor, once a month visiting Kangaroo Island and now providing a service in Seaford.

Will provide ongoing footcare for clients in need, diabetes assessment, ingrown toenail surgery and orthotic therapy.

Psychology

Mary James

I am a Registered Psychologist and have a Certificate in Trauma Counselling and Therapy.  I provide Psychological Support Services to Individuals experiencing life challenges related to Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Grief & Loss, self-esteem, anger management, lifestyle changes and parenting issues.  I have a particular interest in adults experiencing Late-Life Depression.

In my practice I encourage individuals to explore and develop their coping strategies, self-esteem and self worth in relation to their life, health and well-being. I originally trained as a Nurse and have worked in a variety of positions in several different countries including the Middle East and parts of Africa.

More recently I worked in a private company involved with assessment of individual’s work capacity in relation to illness or disability.  My preferred therapeutic model of therapy is an integrative model of therapy, which considers the person in context.

Samantha James

MAPS, Grad Dip App. Psych, BA Hons.(Psych)

Samantha is a registered Psychologist and a full member of the Australian Psychological Society. She provides a warm, engaging and holistic counselling environment to men and women of all ages. Samantha applies a wide range of techniques in her treatment programs for: stress, trauma, work and family issues, sleep difficulties, weight management, depression, anxiety, chronic health conditions and childhood developmental issues.

She has extensive experience working in educational, corporate and government settings including work with Defence force personnel and their families. Samantha has strong background in psychometric assessment and a keen interest in cognitive psychology and neuropsychological techniques. She is a registered Medicare services provider and is able to offer a range of services which attract Medicare rebates.

Leanne Butterfield

BSc(Hons), M Psych(Clin), Dip Clin Hyp MAPS

Leanne has been registered as a Psychologist since 2004 and has worked in a variety of areas in both the public and private sector. Her speciality areas include anxiety, depression (including post-natal), pain management, OCD, PTSD and sleep problems.

Leanne is also a qualified Hypnotherapist. Leanne sees adolescents and adults aged 16 years and older.

Loretta Sassi

B.Ec.  B. (Hons) Psych  Assoc  MAPS

Loretta Sassi is a Registered Psychologist and mother of two. She has a warm, professional and understanding approach to clients with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Her focus is on practical strategies to overcome difficulties and provide improved and sustained psychological, social and physical wellbeing. She uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) amongst a range of other clinical approaches.

She is experienced in both Adult and Children's mental health working clinically with: Depression, Anxiety, Panic attacks, Stress, Self esteem, PTSD, Phobias, Anger, Substance abuse, Eating disorders, Pain management, Relationship issues, Grief and Loss, Parenting and skills training, Childhood Behaviour, Modification and Bullying.

Loretta holds a Bachelor of Economics and has over 8 years' experience working in a vocational setting and the rehabilitation and workers compensation arena. Most recently she also works part time as the resident family counsellor and Psychologist at the Cora Barclay Centre in North Adelaide.

DIETICIAN

Bernice Tan

BSc MND APD AN

Bernice is a member of the Dietician's Association of Australia and is an Accredited Practising Dietician. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 2006 and from Flinders University in 2008 with a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Bernice has worked for 4 years in the public dietetic sector. She spent 2 years in Murray Bridge as the Dietician for Murray Mallee Community Health Services before returning to Adelaide. She has also worked as a Dietician in the Start Right Eat Right project, which is a nutrition award scheme in child care centres. She has spent the last few years working as a Dietician for the Port Adelaide Primary Health Care Services.

Bernice is particularly interetsed in Diabetes, weight management, heart disease and early childhood nutrition.
